The Willow "brand" is comprised of a Modern-Day Mercantile and a Kitchen, Bath & Interior Design Studio and Showroom (what a mouthful!) in Crested Butte, Colorado.

In 2000, I started my interior design business - named Summit Design.  Shortly thereafter I opened a retail shop, Willow, while also providing interior design and party and wedding planning services.  In late 2007, I realized that I could not DO IT ALL and put my brick and mortar business into hibernation to focus on "mommy-ing/PTA-ing/room parenting-ing".  I continued to assist our building clients with their design decisions (my husband and I started Summit Construction in 1997).  Faced with the graduation of our baby and looming empty nest in May 2017, I decided that it was time to bring Willow back officially!  I re-opened my brick-and-mortar shop in downtown Crested Butte in August 2017.  Since that time I have opened a design studio/showroom as well.  For your home, the Willow mercantile has a great stock of gorgeous throw pillows, lamps, artwork, furniture and accessories, in addition to loads of options for custom made pillows, window coverings, cabinets and more.  AND we have beautiful jewelry, candles, bags and more for you!

Are you thinking about hiring a designer but aren't sure what you'll really get for the cost?  Here are a few of the benefits:

FINDING YOUR STYLE – Maybe you aren’t even sure what look you want or like or why?  Maybe you feel as if you like everything and can’t commit or make decisions to move forward in your design.  I will help  you define your look and make it work.

SHOPPING/SOURCING – I have many sources that are offered "to the trade only", including furniture, lighting, fabrics, cabinetry and more.  I specialize in custom furniture, fabric window treatments, cushions and other "soft goods" - these are the items that can give your home a look that is truly yours alone.  I'm an authorized dealer and kitchen and bath designer and sell Yorktowne Cabinetry and DesignCraft Cabinetry.  Our studio showcases a curated collection of many lines of tile and flooring also.  AND my retail shop is filled with fun ready-to-take-home accents for your home.

USING WHAT YOU HAVE –  I will help you decide what to keep and what to pitch and how to incorporate important pieces into the new look for your home. I love to work with what you have, as much as possible, and add in fresh new accessories and accents, creating a space that feels new {and it doesn't have to cost a fortune}!

PROJECT MANAGEMENT – I will oversee the schedules and budget, as well as subcontractors, for your project.  You don't want to have to worry about that - picking out your furniture and finishes should be your priority!

"My design philosophy is simple... a home should reflect the personality of the people who live there, not of their designer or furniture showroom!  I specialize in creating a HOME - a "yes, real people live here in this amazingly beautiful and welcoming house" kind of space.
